Hi! I'm Ashley Marie Zapata-Palmer
I am a Minneapolis-based photographer, a wife, a sister, a daughter and a friend. My husband, Joshua and I are best friends and business partners, and together we run Zapata Palms Pictures! My green Jeep is our ride, in which we discover Minneapolis as a weekend routine. We are always exploring new places to live or searching for the perfect meal to share (usually pecan pancakes and huevos rancheros, so if you're ever looking for a great brunch spot I'll give you THE list). I love people, their kids, their pets and their stories, and I'm ready to meet you and yours!

What does photography mean to me?
To put it simply: Photography is more than a bundle of photos, it is an adventure into marking history of the present for the memory of the future. To me, taking beautiful portraits is my way of giving people confidence and power, especially for those who feel they have lost it.
I want my photography to speak the loving and confident truth of the moment that is captured. That's why my life’s work is dedicated to my clients being proud of their true self, no matter the place, the time, the weight, the social skills, the outfit, the body type, or the funky features. There is beauty in all of us.
